Our client an industry leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a data sourcing associate. This is a newly created hire for a fund that is growing rapidly and are one of the most prestigious names to work for in the hedge fund space.
You would be joining a small and dynamic team which is building out this function. This is a newly created hire as a result of growth. The hire will be working on data and vendor management and sourcing across the spectrum: market data, reference data, alternative data, fundamental data and taking an active role in managing relationships with existing vendors and building relationships with new vendors. You will work closely with the investment teams to understand strategy and the specific data they would require and act as the broker of information to source, onboard and provide relevant datapoints to the investment team. The hire will play a key role in the enhancement and development of a centralized global function over the next few years as the fund continues to grow in AuM and geographically.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience working on data sourcing with a strong knowledge of vendor management and contract/licensing structure negotiation and a strong existing network within the traditional and alternative data space. Some form of financial markets exposure (Fixed Income, Equities or systematic) will be useful.
This is a business critical hire, where our client will offer a sizeable increase on the current individual’s base / bonus, with some form of guarantee / sign on, so the individual is compensated for missing out on an upcoming bonus.
