A high performing, large AUM Hedge Fund, are looking to hire their first London based ‘Chief of Staff’.

The role supports a variety of ‘C-suite’ level professionals, taking responsibilities away from them, supporting a broad remit. Tasks are wide ranging, covering topics such as internal & external public relations, managing the firm’s current premises / HQ, managing an international buildout with regards to new premises (potentially across the US, Asia and Middle East over the next couple of years – manging strategic, financial and commercial considerations), facing off to the FCA on advisory matters, managing a range of matters with central banks & regulators, working with the Head of HR on a range of initiatives (including hiring strategy + D&I), but also extending to the design, implementation and buildout of new internal controls / reporting / operational infrastructure. The work is predominately project based, requiring lots of research, analysis and the ability to present outcomes both internally and externally.

The hiring manager favours candidates with first class degrees, in a relevant topic, from a leading university, with 5yrs+ relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be a management consultant, that critically understands & has a strong interest in financial markets. Most likely this will be an individual currently working for a leading consultancy, who has a track record running multiple projects for banks. That said we could look at a project manager currently working for a bank, individuals working in strategy teams at a top tier IB or hedge fund professionals in similar roles. Naturally, excellent communication and presentation skills are a pre-requisite.

The role is targeted to pay a £125-175k total comp package year-one, pending what level the role is hired at + individual performance, with significant year-on-year compensation growth expected.
