A high-profile, global multi-manager hedge fund is looking to make a London based ‘Chief of Staff’ hire. As the fund continues to expand and diversify, the lead Portfolio Manager for the firm’s flagship European strategy is looking for a Chief of Staff to take weight off his remit and the remit of the investment team.
The Chief of Staff will be a sounding board for business buildouts and strategy, implement strategic objectives (business buildouts, launches, technology advancements etc.), be the first point of call for the investment team regarding issues and challenges faced, and more generally look to deliver better collaboration and visibility between the PM and the firm’s support functions.
As a proportion of the role will be problem solving, the hire will be expected to deliver detailed analytics, presentations, and reports to managing partners of the firm. This is a highly visible and autonomous role, at an exciting growth point for the firm – the hire will likely also have strong exposure and influence (via project work) with regards to growth plans for APAC and MENA.
Candidates would ideally be existing traders or investment professionals looking for a new focus, or ex-Traders currently working for a top tier management consulting firm. A current hedge fund business manager, COO, or strategy type would also be considered. An exceptional academic record and additional industry qualifications are required.
