Our client, a multi-billion dollar AUM global quant / systematic strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a London based Business Manager within their global COO team. This will be the first Business Manager to be based out of their expanding London office, reporting into the US-based global function lead.
The role offers close interaction with the front office, working across a range of initiatives including new business and fund launches, PM & counterparty onboarding, new instrument & platform go-live projects etc. The business management team fact-find, present a plan, come up with solutions and they see projects through to implementation. They are also tasked with ensuring that the fund is prepared for potential changes in the market, having anticipated the firm’s response to possible issues well in advance.
The nature of the role will expose the hire to the most senior levels of management in the firm – the role is highly visible and to an extent autonomous.
Requirements:
- 3–8 years of experience in a business management, project/change, or COO-type function either on the sell-side or buy-side.
- Management consultants with markets experience could be considered.
- An individual working in a broad non-investment role is also an option.
- Very strong academics and some form of advanced tech/coding skills are required.
The role is projected to pay a £125-175k TC year one (variable dependant on experience level and individual performance), with strong year-on-year TC growth potential assured.
