We are working exclusively with an exceedingly fast‑growth investment firm looking for an Assistant Accountant. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for leveraging technology to optimise accounting processes.
On a day‑to‑day basis, you will manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing while supporting month‑end and year‑end financial reconciliations, reporting, and ledger maintenance. You will utilise relevant coding languages (Python, SQL, VBA) to automate financial workflows, optimise reporting, and enhance data‑analysis capabilities. You will work closely with finance and technology teams to implement automation tools for accounting and reporting functions and assist in developing dashboards to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Support month‑end and year‑end financial reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate ledger records and produce reports.
- Automate financial workflows using Python, SQL, or VBA.
- Collaborate with finance and technology teams on automation tools and dashboard development.
Qualifications:
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Experience working in a large or fast‑growth firm (financial services experience desirable).
- Proactive in automation and process‑improvement tasks.
- Exposure to at least one coding language (Python, SQL, or VBA).
