Valuations Role (Covering Liquid Products and Private Equity) – Multi-Billion Dollar Hedge Fund – Extremely Generous Base & Bonus
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the valuations team of a highly respected and growing hedge fund in London. The role will provide a solid platform for accelerated professional growth surrounded by leading peers within the hedge fund space.
This is a new role and will report into a very successful Head of Fund Accounting. It will work alongside a team of 4 who are primarily responsible for fund accounting and valuations, focusing purely on valuations for both the hedge fund (equities, bonds, and complex derivatives) and Private Equity fund. In addition, it will continue to implement valuation methodologies and models to determine fair value, taking into account market data, pricing models, and risk factors. The role will have significant exposure across the business, regularly interacting with investment teams and risk management teams. It will have a 60/40 split (valuation work vs. process improvement work), and hence they have a preference for candidates with strong SQL skills.
For this role, we are looking for either a finalist or a recently qualified accountant (hence broad salary banding), with strong valuations experience across equities, bonds, and derivatives. You should have strong academics and excellent communication skills. Previous experience with improvement projects is desirable, as well as strong Excel/SQL skills.
Depending on experience, the firm will offer a 15-20% uplift on your current salary, and you can expect 40%+ bonuses in your first year (increasing from this in subsequent years). They have incredibly impressive offices, with an in-house chef, gym, and a collaborative social culture.
