This is an excellent opportunity for a fund accountant to join a well-established investment firm in a broad, high-exposure role sitting within a lean and high-performing finance team.
The position offers far more variety than a typical fund accounting seat and would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership across a wide range of responsibilities. The remit spans oversight of NAV production across multiple fund structures, close management of external administrators, and involvement in the key accounting and control areas that support a sophisticated investment platform.
You will be a central point of contact on matters such as fund expenses, accruals, equalisation, hedging, financial statement review, audit coordination and tax-related processes, while also supporting governance reporting and broader finance deliverables.
Beyond the core fund accounting work, the role offers the chance to get involved in new product activity, work closely with operations and investment professionals, and play a visible role in strengthening the overall control environment.
This is not a purely process-driven role. The team is looking for someone who can think critically, challenge where appropriate, and help refine how things are done as the business continues to evolve. There is a strong appetite for improving efficiency, reducing manual work and making better use of systems and technology, so it should appeal to someone who enjoys process improvement as much as technical fund accounting.
We are looking for a candidate with solid fund accounting experience gained in asset management, fund services or a related environment. You should have exposure to outsourced administrators and a good understanding of investment funds across either alternative strategies, long-only products, or both. The successful individual should be organised, detail-focused and capable of operating confidently in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication skills are important, as is a proactive and commercially minded approach.
The firm offers a collaborative and intellectually strong environment, with good visibility across the business and genuine scope to broaden out over time. This role would suit someone who wants to move beyond a narrow BAU position and into a seat with greater ownership, variety and long-term progression.
