A boutique, high performing hedge fund is looking to make a newly created Junior Trader hire. Working directly for the Head Trader, the hire will run a remit that is broad – he/she will manage prime broker relationships, all trade breaks & issues, PM limits & requests, performance & risk reports, oversee execution etc. The hire will also regularly work on a wide range of projects for the Head Trader. The intention is for the hire to gradually take on more trading responsibilities before progressing into an outright trader role (within 2 years).
We are looking for candidates with 2-5 years experience in an operations / middle office / trader assistant role, with ambitions to move towards being a trader. We can only consider buy-side specialists with a strong passion for and understanding of financial markets. Candidates must have advanced Excel skills, with any VBA, SQL or Python skills extremely beneficial.
The role will pay an entry £50-60k base salary. Being part of the front office bonus pool, the total compensation can be very attractive for a high performer.
