As a Business Development Manager you will proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within a specified sales territory. You will drive sales growth by understanding customer needs and aligning our products and services to deliver tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive increased business revenue by identifying and developing new opportunities
  • Build and expand the company’s presence and brand
  • Identify new markets and research emerging trends
  • Develop a network of contacts to attract new customers
  • Research and identify new business opportunities
  • Communicate with and visit customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet annual sales targets
  • Develop deep product knowledge
  • Ensure customers receive the best experience
  • Qualify leads and uncover client needs
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing customers
  • Report appropriately to the Sales & Business Development Director when required
  • Promote and act in accordance with group policies, values, systems, and procedures

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Good understanding of the market and commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to win new business, cross-sell, and retain existing clients with profitable margins
  • Skilled in negotiating price changes with new and existing clients
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Achievement-driven and able to work to set KPIs and expectations
  • Previous experience in Business Development and Sales within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient PC/computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver against deadlines
