Materialise USA is seeking a Medical Production Operator for our Plymouth, MI facility, where we use cutting-edge additive manufacturing techniques to create orthopedic surgical guides — patient-specific tools that help surgeons deliver highly precise care. As this innovative approach becomes the new standard, demand is rising rapidly, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join us on our journey.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, second-shift position. Some overtime may be available, paid at 1.5 times your regular rate. Second-shift employees receive a 10% shift differential in addition to base pay, which starts at $17.67/hour (with potential for higher rates based on experience). We offer paid lunches and breaks, plus a snack counter with free drinks and snacks to enjoy while working. You’ll also receive 14 days of PTO upon hire (prorated for mid-year start) and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days. Additional benefits include free short- and long-term disability insurance and free life insurance (starting after 30 days), as well as a 401(k) with employer contributions — even if you don’t contribute.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare SLS, SLA, DLP, and SLM machines for builds
  • Perform post-processing tasks
  • Conduct quality checks on surgical guides and models
  • Verify accurate matching of customized products with documentation
  • Follow procedures to ensure proper delivery of products
  • Support cross-training and teamwork by assisting with other activities in the medical production facility

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills (MS Windows; MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Completion of an administrative, medical, or technical program is a plus (e.g., administration, medical assistant)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 lbs, occasionally including stairs
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organized, quick to learn new tasks
  • Experience in quality checks is a plus
  • Flexible with work hours to meet production needs
  • Familiarity with shipping programs (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.)
  • Experience in a GMP and/or ISO 13485 environment is a plus
