Hours : Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm

Monday Matters Recruitment is working with a well-established independent garage in Ashford, Kent, who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their busy and friendly workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to continue developing their technical knowledge within an independent environment.

The Role

As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of mechanical and diagnostic duties, including :

• General servicing and mechanical repairs
• MOT repairs and safety inspection repairs
• Carrying out safety inspections and vehicle health checks
• Basic diagnostics and fault finding
• Diagnosing noise-related faults
• Diagnosing cooling system and lubrication system issues (including leaks)
• Wheel alignments
• Timing belts and timing chains
• Engine repairs
• Clutch replacements, including DSG clutches
• Using manufacturer data and diagnostic tools (training available where required)
• Working accurately with manufacturer specifications, including tightening torques

About You

The successful candidate will :

• Be an experienced Senior or strong Vehicle Technician
• Be confident working independently and as part of a team
• Be comfortable using manufacturer data and diagnostic equipment
• Have a methodical approach to diagnostics and repairs
• Be keen to attend training courses and learn new vehicle technologies
• Take pride in high-quality workmanship and workshop standards
