What the job involves

  • We’re currently expanding our engineering teams in London and looking for experienced Tech Leads. This is an individual contributor role with technical leadership scope, it’s not a people management position.
  • You’ll drive the development of infrastructure features that shape our product’s future from UI to database.
  • Our CRM group is expanding into a new, strategic area of the platform — and this is a rare opportunity to help build it from the ground up.
  • The team is working on a product that doesn’t fully exist yet, which means you’ll be involved in shaping direction, validating ideas quickly, and driving them through to implementation, not just executing on a defined roadmap.
  • It’s a high-ownership, high-decision-making environment where you’ll work closely with Product and GTM teams to deeply understand customer needs and translate them into something real.
  • AI is central to the vision, not an afterthought — we’re designing for where the space is heading over the next few years, not just optimising for today.
  • We’re a collaborative, full-stack team (Node.js and React) based in London, and we thrive on people who bring strong product sense, a bias for action, and the kind of founding-engineer mindset that’s comfortable with ambiguity and energised by it.
  • You’ll work with experienced and highly talented engineers who are passionate about what they do, using cutting‑edge technologies in a data- and impact‑driven environment.
  • We foster a culture of transparency, full ownership, teamwork, and a no-ego policy.
  • Our engineering department consists of multiple groups, each responsible for a critical domain within the monday.com product. With over 400 engineers, we operate in cross‑functional teams, collaboratively defining, improving, building, and delivering features.
  • Play a key role in shaping our product architecture and engineering excellence.
  • Evolve our architecture and engineering practices to support the ever-growing scale of users, features, and data.
  • Work alongside experienced and highly skilled developers with cutting‑edge technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams, taking full ownership and responsibility from conception to post-deployment in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Tech stack: React.js, Redux, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, AWS, Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL. Note: Prior experience with our tech stack is not required; we welcome people willing to learn.
