Are you a commercially driven operational leader with a proven track record of delivering growth, improving performance, and executing strategic initiatives? We are seeking an exceptional Operations Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business.

As Operations Director, you will lead the company's core operational activities, ensuring the successful delivery of ambitious EBITDA targets and supporting our strategic growth agenda, including mergers and acquisitions. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will transform vision into action, driving measurable results across the organisation.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will oversee a specialist network of internal teams and external partners, providing both direct and indirect leadership to ensure operational excellence, accountability, and sustainable growth. You will be at the forefront of optimising performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering initiatives that enhance profitability and shareholder value.

Leadership and Management
  • Play a key role within the Leadership Team, helping to shape business strategy and drive operational performance.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, IT, and other functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Bring commercial and operational expertise to support decision‑making, continuous improvement, and business growth.
  • Help ensure the business is structured and resourced to meet customer needs and future growth plans.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the company's three‑year growth strategy, including the successful integration of acquisitions.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and support the achievement of key business performance targets.
  • Champion company values and foster a positive, high‑performance culture.
  • Partner with IT and the wider leadership team to improve reporting, data insights, and business intelligence.
  • Act as a trusted operational advisor and strategic partner to the Managing Director.
Environment Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Lead the company's EHS strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Drive a positive safety culture across the business, promoting employee engagement and accountability through effective EHS systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with group and external stakeholders to support and deliver wider EHS objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to EHS standards across all sites and support the successful integration of acquisitions into existing EHS frameworks.
  • Develop and monitor key EHS performance metrics, providing clear reporting and insights to drive improvement and recognise success.
Operational Excellence & Growth
  • Develop and deliver operational strategies that reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure that the Pick, Pack and Dispatch (PPD) function(s) are harmonised and fully integrated to production (assembly) outputs and customer demand.
  • Through IT partners and stakeholders, build, implement and maintain greater tracking and efficiencies through MRP into the end to end process.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships and optimise service levels to support business objectives and operational efficiency.
  • In conjunction with the Finance Director and Head of Sales & Marketing, drive the Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning (SI&OP) process, to ensure the right supply is in place for new sales and customer acquisition.
  • Identify, lead, and deliver strategic projects that support growth, expansion, and operational excellence across the UK business.
Technical and Regulatory
  • Ensure that as a key stakeholder in NPD, technical and regulatory compliance is delivered and adhered to in current and on‑going product offers.
  • Keep abreast of legislative and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records for technical compliance and performance of third‑party supplied and own specification products / services.
  • Ensure that warranty management and compliance is effective and ensuring communication of any potential areas of concern or impact to the business, brand or market position is known to the MD.
  • Ensure technical support and training is delivered across the business and to our Accredited Installer Network.
  • Provide front line customer and consumer technical / product support through training of the customer experience team.
Culture & Talent
  • Management (PPM) cycle for all direct reports, fostering meaningful development conversations and aligning individual goals with team and organisational priorities.
  • Drive improvements to our culture to support our aim of becoming an employer of choice (eNPS).
  • Strengthen the talent within all areas of responsibility and ensure succession plans in place for all management / critical roles.
