We are actively recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled Humanities Teacher with UK recognised QTS based in Yeovil. A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Yeovil is looking for a full-time Humanities teacher to join their school in September 2026. This is a fixed term placement until December 2026 and as a newly appointed teacher, you will be fully supported by the Humanities department.
As part of this role, you will teach up to GCSE level and be responsible for participating in team planning. Daily rate of pay will start at £145 and can increase to £232.57 for more experienced teachers with UK recognised Qualified Teaching Status. UK qualified teacher status (QTS) is essential for this role.
Job responsibilities:- Planning/Teaching all lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive environment and managing behaviour within the classroom
- Providing leadership for the classroom assistant to provide the best support for all pupils
