Monarch Education is working closely with a friendly and supportive primary school in Wombourne to recruit a dedicated Early Years Practitioner / EYFS Teaching Assistant. The Role
You will be supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher and wider Early Years team, you will play a key role in supporting learning through play, development, and exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS activities in line with the EYFS Framework
- Promote children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
- Observe, assess and contribute to tracking children’s progress
- Support personal care routines where appropriate
- Ensure safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
- Has experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
- Demonstrates a warm, patient and nurturing approach
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
