About the Role

In this varied Teaching Assistant role, you will support learning across KS3 and KS4, helping students stay focused on individual subjects and ensuring they remain engaged in lessons. At times, you will also work in the school’s Behaviour Room, supporting students who require additional help to regulate, refocus, and reintegrate into lessons. This is a key part of the school’s pastoral provision and is ideal for someone patient, calm, and confident working with challenging behaviours when needed. Your role will involve a mix of in‑class support, 1:1 sessions, small‑group work, and behaviour‑based support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
  • Help students stay focused and make progress in individual subject areas
  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support based on student needs
  • Assist in the school’s Behaviour Room when required, helping students regulate and refocus
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and consistent routines
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and resource preparation
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
  • Contribute to students’ academic progress and personal development
