Monarch Education is an approved Tuition Provider for Medway Council, and we are currently recruiting Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS) to deliver high-quality, face-to-face tuition to vulnerable learners across the Medway area. This is a rewarding in-person tutoring role supporting children and young people who are often Looked After and/or have EHCPs, including needs such as ASC, ADHD, PDA and SEMH.
Role
You will provide 1:1 face-to-face tuition either in school setting at the child’s home, delivering tailored learning programmes in:
- Maths & English (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4)
- Functional Skills
Many learners are working below age-related expectations due to disrupted education, so your role as a tuition specialist is vital in rebuilding confidence, engagement, and academic progress.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality, in-person tuition within school hours
- Working with students who have EHCPs, SEMH needs, and additional learning needs
- Completing weekly tuition progress reports
Hours & Flexibility
- Tuition typically runs Monday to Friday, daytime hours
- Assignments are usually 2+ hours per day per student
- Take on as many face-to-face tutoring assignments as your schedule allows

Essential Requirements – Please Only Apply If You Have
- QTS or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status / Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce) – we can help you apply if needed
- Availability for face-to-face, in-person tuition during the school day
- Ability to start assignments quickly (not suitable for those working full-time with notice periods)
