Monarch Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Smethwick. This is a full-time position, suitable for qualified individuals with experience working within UK schools.
Position Details
- Location: Birmingham
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30/4:00pm
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting class teachers in delivering daily lessons and activities
- Assisting individual pupils and small groups to meet their educational targets
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND pupils, to access the curriculum effectively
- Delivering targeted interventions to support pupils’ progress and development
- Supporting pupils’ social and emotional well-being
- Providing personal care, including toileting support, to pupils as needed
- Supervising pupils during break times and ensuring a safe environment
- Contributing to an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3)
- Minimum of 12 weeks’ recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
- Experience supporting SEND pupils and delivering targeted interventions
- Availability to work full-time during school hours
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
