We’re working with a lovely small primary school in Shepton Mallet that is looking to build a dependable pool of Supply Teachers to support with ad hoc and short-term cover. This is a great opportunity for teachers seeking flexibility while being part of a warm and welcoming environment.
About the Role
This is a flexible and varied teaching role, covering classes across the school when needed. In a smaller setting, you’ll enjoy getting to know pupils and staff more closely, making each day both rewarding and engaging. You’ll play an important role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across different year groups
- Managing behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
- Adapting lessons to suit pupil needs
- Providing clear feedback to staff following each day
- Quickly becoming part of the school community
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for teachers who:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Are flexible, reliable, and confident across primary year groups
- Enjoy working in smaller school environments
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Are available for full-time and/or part-time work
