Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Rochdale to recruit a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support students with additional needs within the classroom environment, working closely with teachers and relevant professionals to facilitate inclusive learning.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with SEND, including those with Autism, ADHD, and other needs, to access the curriculum effectively
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (EHCPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to differentiate learning activities
- Provide personal care and support where required, following safeguarding and health and safety guidelines
Essential requirements
- Minimum of 12 weeks experience working in a UK school setting with children with SEND
- Experience supporting students with SEND – Special Educational Needs
