Monarch Education are recruiting Behaviour Support Mentors to work across primary schools in Rochdale.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, youth work, sports coaching, care, mentoring or other child-focused settings.
You will support pupils who need additional guidance to engage positively in school, helping them develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive learning behaviours.
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Building positive relationships with children who require additional behavioural support
- Implementing behaviour strategies provided by the school
- Encouraging engagement in lessons and school activities
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
- Working closely with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams
- Promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people
- Background in behaviour support, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, care or support work
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to manage challenging situations professionally
