Monarch Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Rubery/Rednall. This is a full-time position, suitable for qualified individuals with experience working within UK schools.

Position Details:

  • Location: Birmingham
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30/4:00pm

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers in delivering daily lessons and activities
  • Assisting individual pupils and small groups to meet their educational targets
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND pupils, to access the curriculum effectively
  • Delivering targeted interventions to support pupils’ progress and development
  • Supporting pupils’ social and emotional well-being
  • Providing personal care, including toileting support, to pupils as needed
  • Supervising pupils during break times and ensuring a safe environment
  • Contributing to an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3)
  • Minimum of 12 weeks’ recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils and delivering targeted interventions
  • Availability to work full-time during school hours
  • Strong communication skills and professional conduct
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
