Monarch Education is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils in local primary and secondary schools across Oxford. Whether you’re experienced in special needs or looking to start a rewarding new path, we want to hear from you!
About the Role
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of additional needs, which may include:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Speech & Language needs
- Moderate / Severe learning difficulties
You’ll be working 1:1 with individual students or providing general classroom support, helping them engage with learning, develop key skills, and feel confident in school.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum
- Helping create a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Encouraging emotional regulation, communication, and independence
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to tailor support
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need formal TA qualifications – just the right attitude! We’d love to hear from you if you are:

Experience in support, care, youth work, education or similar settings is a bonus – but not essential.
