We are seeking an energetic and committed Qualified PE Teacher (QTS) to join a well-regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about physical education, health, and wellbeing, and who can inspire students to lead active lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student progress effectively
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive wellbeing
  • Support extracurricular activities, fixtures, and school sports events
  • Foster a positive and disciplined learning environment

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject
  • Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across a variety of sports
  • Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with GCSE PE (and BTEC Sport where applicable)
  • Ability to lead or support extra-curricular sports programmes
  • Specialism in one or more sports disciplines
  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience teaching KS5 PE or Sport
