Monarch Education are working with a specialist SEND school in Nuneaton who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The school supports pupils across a range of ages with additional needs, providing a structured, nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. The staff team focus on delivering a personalised curriculum that develops academic, social, and emotional skills.
About the pupils:
- Autism (ASC)
- Moderate to severe learning difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Communication and interaction difficulties
- Sensory processing needs
- Complex needs and associated behaviours
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with delivery of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Supporting communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
- Promoting positive behaviour and building strong relationships
- Supporting daily routines, including sensory activities
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Essential:
- Experience working with SEND, SEMH, or complex needs
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
