About the Role

  • Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
  • SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of additional learning needs. You will be supporting and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils, promoting engagement, independence and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide

1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism and additional SEND needs.

  • Support the delivery of individual education plans and behaviour support strategies.
  • Encourage the development of social skills, emotional regulation and positive relationships .
  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive, structured and supportive learning environment.
  • Use autism-friendly approaches to support communication, sensory needs and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCOs, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Promote pupil wellbeing, independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND , particularly Autism.
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition and associated learning, communication and sensory needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Right to work in the UK.
