Are you a dedicated and qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Monarch Education are recruiting on behalf of a lovely primary school in the Gorton area of Manchester (M18), who are seeking a compassionate and skilled TA to provide support for pupils with complex needs. This role requires someone with experience in personal care and a strong understanding of SEN strategies.
The Role
- Provide consistent support for primary‑aged pupils with additional needs.
- Assist with personal care routines in a respectful and sensitive manner.
- Support learning activities tailored to the children’s individual education plan (IEP).
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
- Promote independence, emotional regulation and engagement in the classroom.
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) – essential.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
- Confidence in delivering personal care and managing physical needs.
- Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to learning support.
