Monarch Education are recruiting a Maths and Science Teacher for a full time, long term role within a specialist SEN setting in Loughborough from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and nurturing school who are committed to providing the highest level of support and education to their pupils. Whilst the role is initially available on a full-time and long term basis there is potential for this to become permanent for the right applicant.

About the Role

You will deliver Maths and Science lessons across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4, adapting your teaching to meet a range of needs and abilities. You will be supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a strong leadership team, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Maths and Science lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Differentiating learning for pupils with SEN
  • Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Using consistent behaviour management strategies
  • Creating a structured, safe and positive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and SEN professionals

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths and/or Science
  • Experience working with SEN or challenging behaviour is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
