About the Role
As a Supply Sports Coach, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering a range of sports and PE activities across KS3 and KS4. You will help run engaging sessions that build students’ fitness, teamwork, confidence, and motivation. Alongside curriculum PE, you may also assist with lunchtime or after‑school clubs, team practices, and school sporting events. A significant part of the role may involve working with students who need extra encouragement or support to participate positively. You will help them stay calm, focused, and ready to learn, promoting routines that support healthy engagement, emotional regulation, and constructive behaviour. Your presence will help create a safe, structured environment where every young person feels able to take part and progress at their own pace. Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of PE lessons and a variety of sports activities across KS3 and KS4
- Lead warm‑ups, skill‑building drills, and small‑group coaching sessions
- Encourage teamwork, resilience, and positive engagement in physical activity
- Assist students in staying motivated, focused, and confident during lessons
- Prepare and maintain sports equipment and ensure safe activity areas
- Provide additional encouragement or behavioural guidance where needed
