A Nursery School in Great Barr is seeking an experienced EYFS Teacher to join the team on a full‑time basis. This role will begin as a temporary position with the potential to move to permanent. Please only apply if you have Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching in Early Years. This position is not suitable for an ECT.
The role focuses on teaching and supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will plan and deliver EYFS‑based learning, support children’s development, and maintain high‑quality early years provision across the setting.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver Early Years Foundation Stage learning in line with EYFS requirements
- Support children’s development in all prime and specific areas of learning
- Create structured learning opportunities that promote early communication, early maths, early literacy, and play‑based learning
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress using EYFS frameworks
- Set up and maintain an engaging early years learning environment
- Work with nursery staff to support daily routines, continuous provision, and enhanced provision
- Communicate with parents and carers regarding progress and next steps
- Contribute to planning meetings, assessments, and EYFS documentation
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
- Must have previous experience teaching in Early Years
- QTS
- Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum, assessment, and early child development
- Ability to plan and deliver high‑quality early years learning
