Monarch Education is recruiting Resource Base Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in a primary school in Cradley Heath.

Role Overview

  • Support pupils within a Resource Base provision
  • Work with pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Adapt learning tasks to meet individual needs
  • Support development of literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
  • Support integration into mainstream lessons where appropriate
  • Promote independence and engagement
  • Work with teachers and SEN staff
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver support in line with EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Implement behaviour and support strategies
  • Maintain structure and routine within the Resource Base
  • Support transitions throughout the school day

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential
  • Experience supporting SEN in an education setting
  • Experience with primary-aged pupils
  • Minimum 12 weeks’ UK school experience
  • Understanding of behaviour support strategies
  • Ability to follow structured support plans
  • Ability to work as part of a team
