Monarch Education are recruiting Midday Supervisors to support primary schools across Chesterfield from September 2026.

These roles are perfect for individuals looking for part time hours during the school day, playing an important role in ensuring pupils are safe, supported and enjoying their lunchtime experience.

About the Role

You will oversee pupils during the lunchtime period, supporting both indoor and outdoor activities while promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

You will help create a calm, enjoyable environment where pupils feel safe, engaged and ready to return to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils during lunch breaks
  • Encourage safe play and positive interactions
  • Support behaviour and wellbeing
  • Assist with transitions back into the classroom
  • Respond to incidents and report concerns where needed
  • Work closely with school staff to maintain consistency

Requirements

  • Experience working with children is desirable
  • Calm, patient and approachable manner
  • Ability to manage behaviour in a positive way
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
