Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a specialist school in the S41 area.
You will work alongside teachers to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN in the classroom.
- Assist with learning activities and lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Help create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Patient, caring, and positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting children with additional needs.
Desirable
- Experience working within an SEN setting.
- Knowledge of autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
- Relevant childcare or education qualification.
