Monarch Education are looking to recruit experienced and passionate Cover Supervisors to work in a cluster of Secondary Schools in the South Staffordshire area. We are extremely busy with requests from our schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments as we offer part-time and full-time hours to suit. Regular work available in Secondary Schools across Staffordshire including Lichfield, Burntwood, Great Wyrley, Cannock, Rugeley.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cover supervisor or Teaching Assistant (TA), Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Sports Coach or Youth Worker. If you are looking for a future career in teaching, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within the classroom.
As a cover supervisor you will:
- Deliver high-quality pre-planned lessons to pupils aged 11 to 16 (key stage 3 and 4).
- Encourage pupils to interact within the class and engage in activities throughout the lesson.
- Provide support to students who may need additional help or have questions about the material.
- Provide detailed feedback to Teachers on pupil’s achievement and progress.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the schools policies and procedures.
To be successful for this role, you must:
- Hold a minimum of Degree level qualification or higher-level teaching assistant qualification.
- Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar role in a secondary school setting.
- Adaptable to work across different curriculum areas including different subjects.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Monarch Education offer FREE online Safeguarding training.
- Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
