Monarch Education is working with a well-respected primary school in Bristol that supports a high number of pupils within their Early Years Department. The school is looking for an additional teaching assistant to work on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This is a long-term role and will extend to the end of the academic year for the most suitable applicant.

We’re looking for an EYFS experienced Teaching Assistant with an interest in early childhood development. If you’re patient, calm under pressure, and passionate about supporting young people with developing needs, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils aged 3-4 years old in the classroom, helping them stay engaged and focused.
  • Working one-to-one or in small groups to deliver tailored learning and emotional support.
  • Helping with sensory activities and structured routines.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson prep and classroom organisation.
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating small wins every day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Someone who’s caring, reliable, and not afraid to get stuck in.
  • Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Someone with a Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Child Care.
  • Any additional training (e.g. Autism Awareness) is a bonus—but not essential.
