Learning Support Assistant Needed for Specialist SEN School in Bolton

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students aged 11-16 with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Assist pupils in accessing lessons and engaging with classroom activities
- Deliver targeted interventions and learning support programmes
- Promote student confidence, independence and self-esteem
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing and progress of students
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work or support settings
- A positive, patient and flexible approach
- The ability to build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Knowledge of SEN, autism, SEMH or ADHD (beneficial but not essential)
