Monarch Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Business Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bolton. You’ll work alongside a supportive team of teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging Business Studies lessons that motivate students and help them achieve their full academic potential.

You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), helping students develop a strong understanding of business concepts, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and the wider economic environment. Using creative and interactive teaching methods, you’ll inspire students to think critically, solve problems, and apply their knowledge to real-world business scenarios.

The successful candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and develop confidence in their abilities. You’ll assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities.

Working closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community, you’ll contribute to raising standards of achievement and fostering a culture of ambition and success across the department.

The Role

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential and develop a strong understanding of key business concepts.
• Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where applicable), covering topics such as entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, operations, and the business environment.
• Differentiate lesson content and learning activities to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and make progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes engagement, confidence, independence, and a passion for learning.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing targeted interventions to support achievement and raise attainment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, pastoral teams, parents, and school leaders to support student wellbeing, contribute to departmental development, and help drive positive educational outcomes across the school.

Essential Requirements

• * Experience supporting pupils with SEND, e.g. autism, SEMH, physical or sensory needs
• * Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Makaton, ASD awareness) desirable
• * Patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach
• * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• * Right to work in the UK
