Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Female PE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Birmingham (B13) on a short-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, promoting physical wellbeing, confidence, and teamwork within a supportive department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage and motivate students across a range of sports and physical activities.
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through inclusive and dynamic teaching approaches.
- Assess and monitor student progress through practical performance and theoretical understanding.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils and support mixed-ability groups effectively.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, safe learning environment.
- Support extra-curricular sports clubs, fixtures, and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
- Contribute to departmental activities and uphold school policies and values.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support overall development.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level is preferred (ECTs welcome).
- Strong understanding of the PE National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to deliver both practical and theory-based PE lessons.
- Confident in promoting inclusion and participation in physical activity.
