The school is seeking an experienced and confident practitioner to support a pupil in year 1 who has behavioural issues and potential neurodiversity. The position is to start ASAP after half term until the end of the academic year, you will need to be committed to this role due to consistency for the child.
Ideal candidate:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or be able to provide references demonstrating relevant experience within the last two years.
- Have strong and up-to-date knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Be flexible and able to adapt quickly to different school environments and classroom needs.
- Demonstrate passion for securing the best outcomes for all learners by inspiring, supporting, and encouraging every child.
- Work effectively as a team player, showing humility, supporting colleagues, and communicating clearly and confidently.
- Bring positive energy, enthusiasm for learning, and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude to all aspects of the role and school life.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Be confident and consistent in applying behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
