Monarch Education is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a dedicated and passionate Psychology and Sociology Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position for one term initially, with potential for extension, offering an opportunity to inspire students in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in both Psychology and Sociology, fostering curiosity and critical thinking across Key Stages 5.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver outstanding lessons in Psychology and Sociology at key stage 5
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
  • Support students' academic and personal development

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology at KS5
  • Strong classroom management skills
