Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Support Assistant to work across a cluster of schools in South Birmingham, supporting students' well-being, behaviour, and personal development. This is a full-time position, starting immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people’s lives.

About the Role

As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Working closely with school leadership teams, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group pastoral support
  • Assist with behaviour intervention plans
  • Build positive, trusted relationships with pupils
  • Support attendance, well-being, and engagement strategies
  • Help maintain a calm, inclusive school environment
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as needed
  • Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral reporting
