Monarch Education are looking for a qualified and experienced Part Time Nursery Practitioner to join a nursery school setting in Northfield. This is a long‑term position from September 2026, working Monday to Friday, 11.30am-1.30pm. The setting has said this role may turn full time after children numbers rise.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver and evaluate purposeful learning activities aligned with the EYFS.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through high‑quality interactions.
- Promote learning through play and encourage curiosity, independence and confidence.
- Carry out accurate observations, assessments and record‑keeping to support the planning cycle.
- Maintain a safe, secure and compliant environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
- Follow child protection policies and ensure the welfare of all children is prioritised.
- Support children’s daily routines, including hygiene, mealtimes and transitions.
- Ensure learning areas are clean, organised and well‑resourced.
- Communicate professionally with parents, carers and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Work collaboratively within the team to uphold consistent standards of care and behaviour management.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, Early Years Educator).
- A minimum of three months’ experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Understanding of child development milestones and age‑appropriate planning.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive activities supporting holistic development.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- A reliable, professional and child‑centred approach.
