Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the B34 area of Birmingham. This full-time role involves working with pupils in Year 3 during the morning and Year 4 in the afternoon, providing tailored support to children with additional needs across Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND in Year 3 and Year 4.
- Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic progress.
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning.
- Foster a nurturing and structured environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Childcare-related qualification.
- Significant experience supporting SEND pupils in KS2 is essential.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive classroom practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
