We are working for a Primary School seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a vibrant primary school environment. You will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, helping pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-class support to pupils in Key Stage 2
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation
- Support pupils with a wide range of learning needs
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children
- Strong experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- A good understanding of strategies to support children with additional learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within Key Stage 2
- Knowledge of interventions and support strategies
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare
