Monarch Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the B13 Moseley area. This temporary role offers the chance to work within a vibrant Design and Technology department that prides itself on fostering creativity, innovation, and practical skills. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-planned Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess student work, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic D&T curriculum that inspires students.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages creativity, safety, and active learning.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and digital tools to enhance student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on lesson planning, assessment, and departmental initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote positive learning experiences.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level, including GCSE.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment practices.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Confident in using educational technology and digital resources.
