Monarch Education are looking for an experienced and qualified 1:1 Nursery Nurse to start ASAP on a part-time basis. This role involves working Wednesdays 12pm-3pm, Thursdays and Fridays 9am – 3pm until the end of July 2026, possibly continuing into the next academic year. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with a 3 year old child who has mobility issues, an EHCP in place and visible impairment needs.

Requirements of applicant:

  • UK Level 3 Minimum Qualification in Childcare or Early Years
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum
  • Experienced supporting children of EYFS age who have moderate to severe SEND Needs
  • Confident providing personal care to children where necessary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the toddlers room who has severe SEND Needs
  • Keep up to date records on the progress of key children and report back to senior staff and parents
  • Provide personal care to pupils where appropriate
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
  • Ensure children with identified and unidentified SEND needs are kept up to speed with the rest of the class
  • Help children to meet their Early Stages of Development targets
