This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator and leader to drive forward a high-quality Engineering curriculum, inspire students, and lead a dedicated department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Engineering/Design & Technology department across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5)
  • Deliver engaging and practical Engineering lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and industry-relevant curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and attainment, ensuring excellent outcomes
  • Support, coach, and develop departmental teaching staff
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies and initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Engineering, Design Technology, or a closely related subject
  • Proven experience teaching at secondary level
  • Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a middle leadership role
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Engineering education
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
