I am currently taking referrals in the Tameside area for 1-2-1 tutors to work with children who are not currently accessing an education setting. The children that you would be working with are often experiencing a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, and may also have Special Educational Needs.

You would be required to deliver Maths & English usually at KS 2/3/4 level, or Functional Skills; often pupils are not working to age-related expectations. Tuition usually takes place within the school day, and an individual assignment is usually 2 hours daily (Monday to Friday) – you can accept as many assignments as your schedule will allow!

You would be required to complete daily attendance/session feedback, and half termly progress reports. Tuition usually needs to be put in place very quickly, so would not suit anyone working full time who has to work a notice period.

You must either be a qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) or have recent tuition experience from which we can gain references. You must have an enhanced, child workforce DBS on the update service – we can assist you with a new application if you do not have this.

Benefits of Working with Monarch Education:

  • Leading provider
  • Crown Commercial Service Approved
  • Opportunity to enhance your CPD portfolio through our Affinity Academy
  • Free Safeguarding training
  • Refer a friend scheme – £200 bonus (you can make unlimited referrals)
  • Online portal to manage your pay and timesheets

Important Information: All pay rates provided are inclusive of rolled up holiday pay. Equal Opportunities – Monarch Affinity Workforce Solutions and Monarch Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people and expects all its temporary workers to share these commitments.

As this role involves working with children on a daily basis, regulated activity is that any successful applicant’s applications will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to 2 employment references, an enhanced DBS check and a right to work in the UK check. This vacancy is based in the United Kingdom. Monarch Education operate in the UK and can only process applications from candidates who are currently UK residents and eligible to work in the UK.

Whilst we will endeavour to contact you following your response, due to the high volume of applications we regret that this cannot always be possible. If you have not had notification from us within 30 days please take your application as not being successful this time but we will keep your details on file for future opportunities.
