Monarch Education are working with primary schools across Alfreton to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant for September 2026. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals with experience supporting children within a UK school environment. Whether you are looking for a long-term role, part-time hours or more flexible opportunities, we are working with a range of schools seeking reliable support staff for the new academic year.
The Role:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support where required
- Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
- Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school
- Strong understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant
- Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
- Confident supporting learning across the primary age range
- Calm, patient and reliable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to helping pupils achieve their full potential
