Monarch Education is working with a school in Handsworth to recruit a qualified and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality early years curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with planning and activities
  • Observing and recording children’s progress
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment

You will work closely with young children aged 3‑5, helping them develop essential skills and ensuring they feel confident and supported in their early education.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (essential)
  • Proven experience working with children in early years settings (essential)
  • Ability to support children’s learning and developmental needs
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
